Job Summary

The Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of the production plant and facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a safe, clean, and organized environment that supports food safety, operational efficiency, and company quality standards.



What You’ll Do
  • Collect and dispose of facility trash, cardboard, recycling, and production waste materials
  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of raw and finished goods processing and packaging departments
  • Complete custodial duties including sweeping, dry and wet mopping, floor scrubbing, polishing, and vacuuming
  • Check, refill, and replace sanitizers throughout the facility
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms using approved disinfectants and cleaning procedures
  • Supply empty containers to production areas and assist with cleanup of parts and materials
  • Separate recyclable materials including paper, glass, and metal according to company procedures
  • Move larger waste containers to designated collection areas and assist truck drivers with loading trash when needed
  • Sweep and maintain outdoor areas immediately surrounding facility entrances, sidewalks, and walkways
  • Maintain and properly care for cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor scrubbers, mobile sweepers, and cleaning carts
  • Clean and disinfect all drinking fountains and common touchpoint areas
  • Mix and prepare cleaning and sanitizing solutions according to established formulas and procedures
  • Use approved cleaning solutions to remove stains and maintain sanitary surfaces throughout the facility
  • Keep cleaning supply and storage areas organized, clean, and properly stocked
  • Identify and report maintenance needs, repairs, or shortages of cleaning products and equipment
  • Follow all chemical handling and safety procedures and reference SDS information when required
  • Properly wear and use required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including gloves, boots, safety glasses, rain suits, and other protective gear
  • Perform all duties in compliance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety standards, and company safety policies
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned ​​​​​


Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous custodial, sanitation, janitorial, or manufacturing cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move materials and equipment as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Attendance Requirement
  • Must be punctual with strong and consistent attendance


Compensation
$18.00 per hour

Schedule

🕒 2nd Shift
Monday – Friday
3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

⚠️ Candidates must be flexible and available to work daily overtime as needed.
